iUniversity courses offer quality content, industry and technology expertise to provide students with a valuable learning experience.  All iUniversity courses are offered to Investors Title's agents, approved attorneys and their staff.

Underwriting: ITIC Style: This course was designed with the novice underwriter in mind, and it has proven to be a great refresher for even the most seasoned real estate attorney. This course provides an intermediate understanding of the Title Insurance process and underwriting. (CLE Credit - 4 hours)

Setting the Commercial Bar: Commercial transactions can get very complex, yet they can be very beneficial to the success of your practice. Students are provided with information on getting started in commercial transactions, commercial underwriting and endorsements. (CLE Credit - 4 hours)

Title Examination and Reporting: This course will provide an understanding of the basic elements of the title examination process, including how to get started and preparing a title report. This course will also examine various documents an abstractor, attorney or paralegal might encounter in conducting or reviewing the exam. (CLE Credit - 2 hours)

Endorsements: This course will provide a comprehensive understanding of endorsements covering the guidelines for usage, requirement and exception language, and charges. (CLE Credit - 3 hours)

Policy Comparison: This course will review the criteria for the selection of policies available by Investors Title.  It will also take an in-depth look at the terms, conditions, exclusions and coverages provided under the standard loan and owner's policies, short form policies and the 2010 Homeowner's and Expanded Loan Policy to provide a comprehensive understanding of each policy.  (CLE Credit - 2 hours)

Commitment Construction: A detailed look at requirements and exceptions; a no-frills, "nuts and bolts" approach for commitment preparation.  (CLE Credit - 2 hours)

Policy Punch List: A step-by-step guide to policy production including preparing policy schedules for loan policies, short form loan policies and owner's policies.  (CLE Credit - 1 hour)

Mutual Indemnification Agreement: This course is a recorded webinar that will discuss uses and proper underwriting for Mutual Indemnification Agreements. Contact the Columbia Officefor the link to access the webinar.  (CLE Credit - 1 hour)


Keeping the Trust: This course will provide a comprehensive understanding of the guidelines put in place by the SC Judicial Department and the SC Bar regarding how client funds are to be maintained, accounted for and distributed from trust accounts. This course will also review the process of performing monthly three-way reconciliations. (CLE Credit - 3 hours Ethics)

Condominium Conundrum: This course examines the statutes creating the horizontal property regime and provides guidance for attorneys and paralegals involved in creating a condominium regime or closing a condominium transaction. (CLE Credit - 2 hours)


Exploring Expanded Coverages:
This course is a recorded webinar that will provide an understanding of the ALTA Homeowner's Policy of Title Insurance, ALTA Expanded Coverage Residential Loan Policy, and the ALTA Short Form Expanded Coverage Residential Loan Policy. (CLE Credit - 1 hour)

Matters of Survey:
This course will review current survey regulations, how to underwrite based on matters shown on a survey, and the differences between various types of surveys. This course will provide attorneys and paralegals with an understanding of how matters of survey affect underwriting. (CLE Credit - 2 hours)

Behind the Scenes: Real Estate Workflow: This course takes a closer look at the real estate closing process and the role attorneys and paralegals play in getting the transaction to the closing table, including what happens after the borrower has signed on the dotted line. This course also provides resources to improve efficiencies and workflow while providing solutions to everyday challenges. (CLE Credit - 4 hours)

SoftPro:
This course is designed for the beginning SoftPro user or those desiring to refresh their skills. ProForm, ProTrust and Pro1099 are covered in this class. (CLE Credit - 5.5 hours)

Word Merge:
This course will review how to create a Word Merge document in SoftPro. During this course, the student will prepare two merge documents. (Non-CLE Credit)

Escheat:
This course will provide an understanding of how outstanding disbursements affect your trust account and the process of disbursing escheated client funds to the state with regards to real estate transactions. (CLE Credit - 1 hour Ethics)

Title Talk Webinars: Great for a brown bag "lunch and learn" day. Title Talk webinars are one hour trainings resulting from claim activities, current market issues and agent demand. Please contact Investors Title Insurance Company for a list of available Title Talk webinars. (Non-CLE Credit)
